Worcester police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a car while crossing the street on Monday afternoon, suffering serious injuries.
Officers responded to reports of the crash in the area of 164 Shrewsbury St. around 3:51 p.m., the Worcester Police Department said.
“Officers joined paramedics, firefighters, and an off-duty officer on scene as they rendered medical aid to the female victim,” police said.
The crash victim is in her teens, according to WCVB. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her serious injuries, police said.
The preliminary investigation indicates she was crossing Shrewsbury Street when she was hit by a car, Worcester police said. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
