Assistant Editor, NewsDialynn Dwyer is an assistant editor for news at Boston.com. She joined Boston.com in 2015 after working as a general assignment reporter for KPFA Pacifica Radio in Berkeley, California, and for the Ithaca Times in Ithaca, New York.
As a member of Boston.com’s general assignment team, her coverage over the years has ranged across topics from breaking news and crime to historical features and politics. She often focuses on the overlapping issues of public health, addiction, and mental health in Boston and New England. When she’s not reporting on local news, she leads Boston.com’s seasonal book coverage and interviews authors about their forthcoming works.
Stories she has written on Mass. and Cass, transportation, coronavirus, history, racial justice, and human interest have garnered awards from the New England Newspaper Association. She had also won awards for feature writing and in-depth reporting from the New York Press Association.
She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied literature, writing, and theatre.
