Attend a free classical music performance at the Hatch Shell

Boston Landmarks Orchestra plays six free shows on the Esplanade this summer.

Boston Landmarks Orchestra once again brings a series of free, outdoor classical music performances to the Hatch Memorial Shell on the Esplanade this summer. Under the musical direction of Christopher Wilkins, Landmarks Orchestra will play six free shows at the Hatch Shell between July 17 and August 21, showcasing music by underrepresented artists and composers and household names alike.

This season also includes a special Juneteenth performance in Dorchester on Saturday, June 15.

On Wednesday, July 17, Landmarks Orchestra hosts a “community block party” starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Hatch Shell. More information will be released closer to the event.

On Wednesday, July 24, the orchestra will perform “Gershwin & Williams: American Icons,” featuring classic scores like “Olympic Fanfare” and the theme from “Jaws.”

On Saturday, August 3, guests can enjoy “Brahms & Dvořák: Songs without Words” at the Hatch Shell, and “An Evening of Summer Music” on Saturday, August 10.

The orchestra will host “Mozart & and More” on Wednesday, August 14, and its last show of the season is “Sheherazade & Borodin: Arabian Nights” on Wednesday, August 21.
