SoWa’s Open Market once again returns to the South End on Sundays this season. The market, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., opens for the season on May 5 and runs through October 27. The market brings dozens of artisan vendors along with food trucks and farm stands to the SoWa (which stands for South of Washington) space at 500 Harrison Ave.

The Thayer Street area is also filled with rows of artist studios, galleries, and retail shops that come alive as the neighborhood floods with pedestrians on Sunday afternoons. At the open air markets, guests can expect to find handmade goods like artwork, pottery, cosmetics, gifts, and specialty food items, along with lawn games, beer gardens, and stands of fresh, locally grown produce.

The market is free and open to the public, and operates rain or shine. Find the full lineup of vendors and food trucks on its website. Parking is available in paid lots for $10 cash, and the event has both portable and indoor toilets.
