It’s officially warm weather season in Boston, and that means the return of outdoor artisan markets. More and more seem to pop up each year, so to help you stay on top of them all, we’ve rounded up some of the city’s most popular artisan markets below. Expect returning favorites like SoWa and the Somerville Flea, along with newer operations like the Boston Women’s Market at Faneuil Hall. Read on for more details.

The Downtown Boston Arts Market opens on May 2. Now in its 14th year, the market will run on Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (weather dependent) from May through October. A rotating lineup of more than 20 local artisan vendors will set up along Summer Street Plaza (by Macy’s) each day, and will be joined by live music and other entertainment.

Greenway Artisan Market

May 4 — Oct. 26

Head to the Rose Kennedy Greenway on weekends this summer to once again find a sprawling open air market. The market opens on Saturdays starting May 4 and Sundays starting June 2, runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and goes through October. You’ll find goods from dozens of local artists, fashion designers, jewelry makers, small business owners, and other creatives.

SoWa Open Market

The SoWa Open Market once again returns to the South End on Sunday afternoons this summer, bringing with it dozens of artisan vendors along with food trucks and produce stands. The open-air market runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays from May 5 through Oct. 27. And when you’re done at the market, don’t forget to check out all the art galleries and shops on the pedestrian-only Thayer Street.

Boston Women’s Market

May 5 — Aug. 4

On the first Sunday of every month this May through August the Boston Women’s Market can be found on the upstairs rotunda of Quincy Market. Each week will feature more than 15 different small businesses founded by women — browse while snacking on food from your favorite Quincy Market spot. The Boston Women’s Market is free and open to the public, and runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Seaport Summer Market

In collaboration with the Makers Show, the Seaport Summer Market returns for the third year. The market runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from May 11 through June 30 and from Aug. 24 through Sept. 22. It features over 80 vendors each weekend and over 130 vendors in total throughout the season, selling goods like cosmetics, art, specialty foods, clothing, and plants. Guests can also expect a pop-up from Boston Children’s Museum, a DJ, and food trucks like Cheese Louise, ZaZ, and Blanche’s Ice Cream.
