Off the coast of Connecticut, surrounded by the waters of Long Island Sound, sits a 7.65-acre private island on the market for $35 million.

Rogers Island is a part of the Thimble Islands, the largest grouping of its kind in Connecticut, according to the town of Branford: “They take their name from the “thimbleberries” or black raspberries which once grew wild on them.”

The island has multiple structures combined to form the ideal waterfront summer getaway.

“It’s perfect for a buyer who wants their very own luxurious retreat accessible by a short five-minute boat ride,” said Jennifer Leahy, a real estate agent with Douglas Elliman

Staff quarters with two bedrooms and two bathrooms are also present on the property.

But that’s not all.

The island also has a tennis court, a swimming pool with a pool house, and an art studio where you can display your collection.

To Leahy, the pool area stands out. “Whether it’s reading in the gazebo, enjoying a meal by the cabana, or simply basking in the tranquil poolside … it’s a serene haven.”
