Southern New England is expected to be hit with a winter storm Tuesday, with some areas projected to receive several inches of snow. Mayor Michelle Wu has declared a snow emergency ahead of the storm and urged Boston residents to stay indoors when possible. Gov. Maura Healey announced Monday that non-emergency state workers will be working from home Tuesday, encouraging “public preparedness.”
