Jack Pickell is a Boston news veteran of more than 30 years. He has held positions in print, broadcast, and digital news. A 1992 graduate of Boston University's College of Communication, Jack began his career as a reporter with The Pilot Newspaper in Boston. He also worked for several years as producer of WCVB-TV's Eyeopener newscast. Jack has been with the Boston Globe and Boston.com since 2007. He has covered breaking news, sports, culture, and weather, as well as running homepage story placement throughout much of Boston.com's history. Classic video games, early-80s pop culture (especially early-MTV-era music), and Boston sports are among his favorite things.
