With Vice President Kamala Harris poised to become her party’s nominee for president, Democrats across the country are bestowing their endorsements — including the entire congressional delegation from Massachusetts.
When President Joe Biden stepped away from the race and endorsed Harris to take his place on Sunday, Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey threw their support behind Harris immediately.
“Kamala Harris is battle-tested and ready to serve,” Markey wrote on X Sunday afternoon. “She will galvanize voters and make history on Election Day. All in for Kamala.”
Other leaders, including Representatives Ayanna Pressley, Lori Trahan, Bill Keating and Jake Auchincloss all made statements in support of Harris by Sunday evening. Auchincloss initially simply thanked Biden, but later said Harris “has my support going forward.”
“That’s not exclusive to having an open and transparent process, though,” Auchincloss told WHDH. “Kamala Harris will earn and win this nomination because she’s a career prosecutor who is well positioned to take on a convicted felon.”
Some of the nine state representatives, including Democratic Whip Katherine Clark, waited for the dust to settle on Monday to support the Vice President’s campaign for the country’s highest office.

Represenatives Jim McGovern, Seth Moulton, and Richard Neal joined Clark on Monday in supporting Harris. The state’s Democratic Party announced Monday evening that their 116 delegates at the convention next month will vote for the vice president.
