Tell us: What’s your favorite beach read?

We want to know what books you're reading at the beach this summer.

Sun’s out, books out. It’s that time of year again when the weather gets warmer and longer days present more opportunities to stretch out on a towel with a great read.

We want to know: What books are you reaching for this summer?

Last year, when we asked for your favorites, you recommended books from beach read veterans like Elin Hilderbrand and newer summer romance novelists like Emily Henry. Titles included Hildebrand’s “The Hotel Nantucket,” Henry’s namesake beach read, “Beach Read,” and “A Hundred Summers” by Beatriz Williams.

But beach reads don’t just involve seaside summer romances.

You also offered nonfiction recommendations such as Anthony Bourdain’s “Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly” and David Grann’s 1700s shipwreck story “The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder.”

Other readers suggested Louise Penny’s mystery series “Chief Inspector Gamache” and “Small Mercies” by Dennis Lehane, a book set in the 1970s about a South Boston woman’s search for her missing daughter.

We want to know what stories you’ll dive into at the beach this summer.

Do you have an all-time favorite summer book you return to each year? Or are you reaching for something new? Are there certain authors, genres, settings, or themes you particularly enjoy?

Share the best beach reads with us, and tell us what you like about the books you’ll take with you. Fill out the survey below or e-mail us at [email protected].
